January 17: Accessed Blackboard and downloaded podcast. Listened to podcast and took notes.

Focus Area 1: “Using technology to increase our personal effectiveness in our own role as well as being a model for others to follow.”
Using and understanding technology is essential, using technology in the workforce will increase effectiveness and improve performance.
Focus Area 2: “Communicating to others information about the effective use of technology including training and guiding others to use technology effectively.”
Using technology properly and in an informed manner will lead to more understanding and opportunities.
Focus Area 3: “Supporting the effective use of technology through planning for technology use, promoting technology use, staff development, infrastructure acquisition and upkeep.”
I think that the most important area to focus on is training the staff to use the technolog properly and maintaining the infrastructure.
I would like to do all three projects for an A in the class.
Project 1:
Research how using ADDIE in the corporate structure can be used to increase worker retention and productivity.
Project 2:
Research how motivation can lead to better acceptance of technology in the classroom.
