Session 4

Activity Log:

Crazy week, read lots of stuff for my paper, liked Heidi’s podcast.

Developing content for mobile devices.

This seems hard, I have been have a heck of a time trying to create a video clip using Windows.  I am almost tempted to buy an Apple just to be able to podcast.

I agree with having a platform that is easily accessable and can work with many, if not all mobile devices.  It’s great how MP3/MP4′s can work on pretty much any device.  Proprietary software, in some cases, hampers innovation in technology and as a result does not create the best possible learning environment.  However without a company having proprietary technology or a dedicated platform than innovation for applications for their own product will be limited at the company.

A lot of content that is created is mainly for entertainment purposes, I have been on a MUNI bus and the two guys seated behind me are discussing an apple app.  This application was a free game that is for when, according to the first guy, “you are really bored”.

With the internet being easily accessable for people, creating content is easier to do and easier to

I’m not too familiar with creating video clips on windows, but I can tell you one thing…making a podcast with the Mac is quite simple.

Well, I got a video made but I still don’t know if anyone can view it on their phones. I’ve sent it to three people and am waiting for their answer. I made it in photostory3 which is a really easy way to make a movie and record sound at the same time. When you finish, it offers you several ways to save it. That’s where I might have goofed up I don’t remember how I saved the different versions. I was going to post it on my blog but they said there was a security problem. Maybe I will get it on my blog tomorrow.
